Infra Range is a portable infrared dry fire training system that transforms your smartphone into an interactive home shooting simulator. Using a smartphone, projector, infrared lens filter, and compatible infrared laser training firearm or cartridge, you can practice realistic target drills projected onto almost any wall surface.

The Infra Range mobile app uses precision infrared shot detection to track every shot in real time, providing instant visual feedback, scoring, accuracy statistics, reaction times, and performance reports. Unlike traditional training systems, no external sensors, bulky hardware, or permanent installations are required.

Equipment Needed for Infra Range

Compatible Smartphone

A phone capable of running the Infra Range app (iOS or Android with sufficient processing power and camera support).

Projector

Any standard projector that allows HDMI input.

USB-C to HDMI Cable

For connecting your phone directly to the projector. If your phone uses Lightning or another connector, an appropriate adapter will be required.

Smart Phone Tripod Mount

To securely hold your phone in place while using the app. A stable position is essential for accurate performance.

~760nm Infrared Lens Filter

An IR-pass filter to enhance the camera’s ability to detect laser hits while reducing visible light interference.

~780nm IR Training Laser

A compatible infrared laser used for targeting — typically inserted into a firearm chamber or used in a training tool.
